Holloway Hall Community Garden
Every Monday
The Community Gardening group at Ley Hill meet every week to learn how to grow food, techniques for looking after fruit trees & bushes, and other skills such as woodwork. They also grow a mix of flowers and have grand plans to put up lots of bird boxes around the site! All of the food grown can be taken by the group to use at home.

Each week you will learn, share and practice skills to help you repair and care for the things that matter to us in our homes, streets and neighbourhoods, from textiles, bikes, furniture and electronics, to plant, soil and natural habitats.
Milebrook Hall Community Garden
Every Thursday
Pop along to Milebrrok Hall and spend a couple of hours chatting and growing fresh vegetables and fruit. Listen to the birdsong as you tend to the raised beds and brush up on our horticultual skills. Each month, you will use the seasonal vegetables to make budget friendly soups in the hall.
Rowheath Community Garden
Every Friday
You will start the day at 10am with a relaxed birdwatching walk around Rowheath Park. Then have a go at sowing, growing, and harvesting your own food. Not only will you learn about the joys of growing your own food but you will also make new friends, learn new skills, and the outdoor life will lift your spirits.

Conservation Issues of Warley Woods Talk

Wildlife conservation in urban settings has its own set of issues it needs to address. Raising awareness of urban conservation can go a long way in combatting some of the issues we face. Sometimes even well-meaning individuals can inadvertently be harming their local environment. Attend this talk where you will look at some of the environmental issues facing Warley Woods. You will learn how Wild Warley is trying to combat them and how you can help make Warley Woods ‘Better for both people and wildlife’.
Cycle security with Sustrans

Sustrans, a charity helping people to walk, wheel and cycle will be hosting an event at the MAC. Activities include: Dr Bike: Free bike health check and minor repairs, BikeRegister security marking & 7x gold-standard D-locks to be given away for free (first come, first served)
Bird Watching for Beginners @RSPB Sandwell Valley

Join RSPB volunteers on an easy monthly walk around the reserve, whether you are new to birdwatching or just want to discover more about wildlife at the reserve, the team will give you tips on getting started, point out the different birds, how to identify them and how the seasons bring different changes to the valley.

Young Bunch: Outdoor Camp for Adventurous Teens

Birmingham’s popular all outdoor holiday club for young people aged 12-15 who want to continue their nature adventures. Expect some active games, wood work using a variety of tools safely, and a space where young people can discuss environmental issues and inspire others.
