Holloway Hall Community Garden
Every Monday
The Community Gardening group at Ley Hill meet every week to learn how to grow food, techniques for looking after fruit trees & bushes, and other skills such as woodwork. They also grow a mix of flowers and have grand plans to put up lots of bird boxes around the site! All of the food grown can be taken by the group to use at home.

Every Thursday
Pop along to Milebrrok Hall and spend a couple of hours chatting and growing fresh vegetables and fruit. Listen to the birdsong as you tend to the raised beds and brush up on our horticultual skills. Each month, you will use the seasonal vegetables to make budget friendly soups in the hall.
Rowheath Community Garden

You will start the day at 10am with a relaxed birdwatching walk around Rowheath Park. Then have a go at sowing, growing, and harvesting your own food. Not only will you learn about the joys of growing your own food but you will also make new friends, learn new skills, and the outdoor life will lift your spirits.

Bird Watching for Beginners @RSPB Sandwell Valley

Join RSPB volunteers on an easy monthly walk around the reserve, whether you are new to birdwatching or just want to discover more about wildlife at the reserve, the team will give you tips on getting started, point out the different birds, how to identify them and how the seasons bring different changes to the valley.

An evening of moth trapping at Warley Woods (don’t worry they will all be released!!). With help from a local moth expert, you will put out a variety of moth traps and see what is lurking in the darkness! Try your hand at catching moths, maybe have a go at identifying some. You will be guided through the ecology of the species you find, and discuss commonly asked questions and misconceptions.
