Holloway Hall Community Garden
Every Monday
The Community Gardening group at Ley Hill meet every week to learn how to grow food, techniques for looking after fruit trees & bushes, and other skills such as woodwork. They also grow a mix of flowers and have grand plans to put up lots of bird boxes around the site! All of the food grown can be taken by the group to use at home.
Milebrook Hall Community Garden
Every Thursday
Pop along to Milebrrok Hall and spend a couple of hours chatting and growing fresh vegetables and fruit. Listen to the birdsong as you tend to the raised beds and brush up on our horticultual skills. Each month, you will use the seasonal vegetables to make budget friendly soups in the hall.
Rowheath Community Garden
Every Friday
You will start the day at 10am with a relaxed birdwatching walk around Rowheath Park. Then have a go at sowing, growing, and harvesting your own food. Not only will you learn about the joys of growing your own food but you will also make new friends, learn new skills, and the outdoor life will lift your spirits.
Solihull Vegan Market

Seasonal Living Workshop: The Beltane Edition

A year long exploration of nature, the seasons, Earth based wisdom and seasonal living! Beltane, sometimes known as May Day, is a festival represents the peak of Spring and the beginning of Summer, emphasizing fertility, fire, and abundance. You’ll learn about the wheel of the year and Sabbat itself. There will also be Slow flow and Yin Yoga, Mindful Meditation, Journaling / scrapbooking, and the chance to create your own ribbon ritual decoration.

This immersive walk will stimulate your senses as the peace of early morning is broken by a euphony of birdsong echoing throughout the woods. We will listen to the beautiful songs of our resident birdlife as they herald in a new dawn.

First thing in the morning the RSPB Sandwell Valley reserve is alive and singing with the sound of returning warblers, migrating birds and our local resident wildlife. Our expert volunteers will lead you on a wander through the reserve, listening to and identifying all of the beautiful chirps and tweets, before returning to the visitor centre for a cuppa.
