Wildlife Walking Group
Every Tuesday
Meet at Bartley Green Library for a fun and friendly walk along the green corridor alongside Bartley Brook. Along the way, identify birds and other wildlife and finish with a brew at the library. The walk is a 2km circular route on paved surfaces and is mostly flat. All levels and abilities welcome.

Join the The Conservation Volunteers every Wednesday morning at their Queen Elizabeth Hospital community grow space for a weekly nature walk around the site! Discover the large diversity of wildlife, including a variety of different birds, butterflies, moths and other insects. Then spend a couple of hours gardening, growing and tending to fruits and vegetables in the community grow space!
Bird ID Walk & Food Growing
Every Friday
Join the The Conservation Volunteers every Friday at Rowheath Pavilion for a Bird ID walk, and to sow, grow, and harvest your own food at their growing space. Not only will you learn about the joys of growing your own food but you will also make new friends and improve your health and wellbeing.
Winter Gathering – 100 ways to be a good ancestor

100 Ways to Be a Good Ancestor: an exhibition of the often small and everyday ways we can try to be good ancestors by imagining together a different world. Explore 100 contributions from the observations, actions and learning of over 100 people in Dudley involved in Dudley People’s School for Climate Justice in 2024.

Tyseley Energy Park Festive Community Day

Join the Tyseley Energy Park team at St Cyprian’s Memorial Hall for our quarterly community event there will be a litter pick to clean up the River Cole and Grand Union Canal, followed by activities, networking, and discussions focused on East Birmingham’s future.
Festive Fungi and Christmas Crafts @RSPB Sandwell Valley

A Family Fungi themed Christmas craft morning at RSPB Sandwell Valley – after a fungi-tastic walk around the reserve to discover enchanting fungi, festive flora and amazing wildlife, you will create some Christmas themed crafts to hang at home, and then warm up with a cup of delicious hot chocolate around the campfire!
Voluntary Litter Pick of the JQ Cemeteries

Climate Café
Sunday 15th December
Extinction Rebellion and Friends of the Earth jointly present Climate Café, a space to learn about environmental issues and solutions to them. Join a different expert every month for tea, coffee, cake, and the opportunity to hear what they have to say for 30 minutes, followed by a chance to stay to chat and share ideas if you would like. December topic: ‘The Climate Crisis in South Africa and Zimbabwe’ with Catherine Mahandu, Field Researcher.
Nature Crafts for Adults – Seasonal decorations

A relaxed nature inspired arts and crafts session, in beautiful woodland surroundings (Parkridge Nature Reserve in Solihull), with bottomless tea and coffee! No experience needed as all crafts are aimed at beginners, and all resources supplied.
SUSTAIN – The Midlands’ first Sustainability UnConference

Research for Greener Surgery Conference 2024
